Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) has partnered with HSBC and DBS Bank to distribute GSAM’s investment funds to retail investors in Hong Kong.

The funds currently available through this distribution network are the Goldman Sachs Global CORE Equity Portfolio and the Goldman Sachs Emerging Markets Corporate Bond Portfolio.

Jessica Jones, head of GSAM’s retail client business in Asia Pacific ex-Japan, said: “We are pleased to be working with HSBC and DBS as we expand into Hong Kong’s mutual fund market. We will continue to broaden our product offering and distribution network in Hong Kong.”

As part of the expansion, GSAM has bolstered its retail client business team in Asia through recent hires including Gladys Chan, who joined earlier this year to lead efforts in building GSAM’s retail distribution network in Hong Kong. She most recently worked at First State Investments and brings 18 years of experience in the Hong Kong financial industry.

Last October GSAM announced the launch of seven funds to retail investors in Hong Kong. In addition to the two funds currently distributed through HSBC and DBS Bank, the following funds will be made available to individual investors in Hong Kong in the coming months:

• Goldman Sachs Emerging Markets CORE Equity Portfolio

• Goldman Sachs Europe CORE Equity Portfolio

• Goldman Sachs Emerging Markets Debt Portfolio

• Goldman Sachs Emerging Markets Equity Portfolio

• Goldman Sachs Global High Yield Portfolio
