Standard Chartered appoints head of bond syndicate for Asia
Alan Roch joins Standard Chartered in mid-October as head of bond syndicate, Asia, based in Hong Kong. He will be responsible for all syndicate businesses in Asia and reports to Spencer Maclean, global head of bond syndicate, financial markets, based in London.

Alan Roch joins Standard Chartered in mid-October as head of bond syndicate, Asia, based in Hong Kong. He will be responsible for all syndicate businesses in Asia and reports to Spencer Maclean, global head of bond syndicate, financial markets, based in London.

Roch brings over 15 years' experience in bond syndication and risk management. In particular, his strong bond syndicate experience mostly maps the stronghold of our footprint in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Roch was most recently head of Asia Pacific bond syndicate at ANZ where he was responsible for optimising profit and loss opportunities and growing ANZ's primary markets effort amidst the evolving regional landscape. He holds a master in international finance from Le Havre University, France and also recently completed a sustainability studies programme with the University of Cambridge.
