Sun Life Hong Kong Limited (Sun Life) have announced that Rainbow Pan will take over as General Manager, Wealth and Pensions, from Belinda Luk, who will retire on November 6 and remain as special advisor at the company.
A Sun Life veteran for over 11 years, Luk has inspired the company’s Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes (MPF) and Group Life and Health business with remarkable achievements, notably the establishment of an advanced and enduring MPF business. Under her leadership, Sun Life has become the fourth-largest MPF service provider in Hong Kong, rising eight places between 2008 and 2019.
Joining Sun Life on November 4, Pan will succeed Luk as general manager, wealth and pensions. In addition to leading and overseeing Sun Life’s pensions business, Pan will also be responsible for strengthening the company’s wealth management capabilities, and accelerating the growth of the group’s Life and Health business.
She brings over 20 years of international experience as a senior executive in the financial services industry in Hong Kong, mainland China and Australia. Pan was most recently the chief partnership distribution officer at Tahoe Life, and was previously general manager, Bupa Global, for the Greater China region.
Luk will assume the role of special advisor following her retirement, and advise the company on key strategic initiatives in her new capacity.
