HSBC appoints GLCM heads
Lewis Sun has been appointed as regional head of product, GLCM (global liquidity and cash management) Asia-Pacific. Patrick Zhu has been appointed as head of GLCM China.

Lewis Sun has been appointed as regional head of product, GLCM (global liquidity and cash management) Asia-Pacific with effect from August 1 2017, subject to required approvals.

In his new role, Sun will be working strategically with the global GLCM teams, and be responsible for leading and ensuring that our wide range of cash management products and solutions in the Asia-Pacific region continue to be market leading.

Sun joined HSBC in 2002, and is currently head of GLCM, China. Prior to his current role, Sun had various other roles in both China and Hong Kong, with over a decade of experience in managing both GLCM product and sales teams. Sun will relocate to Hong Kong and will report to Kee Joo Wong, regional head of GLCM, Asia-Pacific.

Patrick Zhu has been appointed as head of GLCM China with effect from August 1 2017. In his new role succeeding Sun, Zhu will work closely with commercial banking and global banking and markets to continue driving the success of the GLCM businesses in China.

Zhu joined HSBC in 1999 as a graduate trainee and is currently head of GLCM PRD, China. Prior to his current role, Patrick was head of the GLCM CMB sales team in China. Zhu has also had other roles in HSBC Philippines and Indonesia, and for a period of time with another foreign bank.

Zhu will be based in Shanghai and report to Frank Fang, head of commercial banking, HSBC China, and to Kee Joo Wong, regional head of GLCM, Asia-Pacific.
