Indosuez Wealth Management (Indosuez), the global wealth management brand of Crédit Agricole Group, has appointed Francis Tan as its chief strategist for Asia, a newly created position.

Tan is an expert on the global economy and financial markets and, in particular, for Asia and Association of Southeast Asia (Asean) countries, having accumulated in his over 20 years in economic research and financial services.

He joins Indosuez from United Overseas Bank Group, where he spent over a decade, most recently as investment strategist at UOB Private Bank. Earlier in his career, he had worked across several financial services institutions, including Phillip Capital and Royal Bank of Scotland.

Based in Singapore and reporting to Arjan de Boer, the firm’s head of markets, investments and structuring for Asia, Tan will represent the group CIO office and be responsible for formulating and articulating Indosuez’s global investment strategies in Asia, and translating them into bespoke portfolio solutions for high-net-worth clients.
