12th Philippine Forum drives conversation on transformation, reform

THE 12th Philippine Forum commences in the bustling city of Manila today highlighting the recent efforts by President Rodrigo Duterte's administration to boost growth especially in the area of infrastructure.
Currently the government has earmarked 7.125 trillion pesos for its public investment program from 2017-2022. In fact since President Duterte took office a year ago infrastructure spending has jumped to 5.3% of GDP in 2016 from an average of 2.9% from the previous government.
This informative one-day event will focus on a number of topics facing the Philippines such as the government’s reformation push, infrastructure financing including renewables and domestic capital markets.
Keynote speakers at this year’s forum include Carlos Dominguez III, secretary of finance of the Republic of the Philippines; Nestor Espenilla Jr, governor of the Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas; and Ramon Monzon, president and chief executive officer of the Philippine stock exchange.
