HSBC promotes 14 in Asia as new managing directors in GBM
HSBC has announced the promotion to managing director of 46 of its staff in global banking and markets (GBM) division, including 14 based in Asia.

HSBC has announced the promotion to managing director of 46 of its staff in the global banking and markets (GBM) division, including 14 based in Asia.

In a memo issued by Samir Assaf, chief executive of GBM seen by The Asset, the newly-minted managing directors include Alex Quaas, Anita Mishra, Clement Coudron, Thibaut de Rocquigny du Fayel, Tsz Cheuk Wong and Una Lee of global markets.

From global banking, the new managing directors are Anita Tsang, Carla Goudge, Herbert Zhang, Laura Ria Galvin, Masayuki Kaneko, Sam Ang and Tao Yu. The other new managing director from Asia is Marcus Oh of balance sheet management.

Overall, HSBC has made 760 promotions across its GBM business in 2017.
