Value Partners Group appoints veteran Au as CEO
Value Partners Group has announced the appointment of Au King Lun to the position of chief executive officer effective December 12.

Value Partners Group Limited has  announced the appointment of Dr. Au King Lun, to the position of chief executive officer (CEO) to strengthen its management team at a time that the company calls “an era of golden opportunities”. Au joins Value Partners December 12.
As the CEO of Value Partners, Au takes charge of the Group’s business and corporate affairs, reporting directly to the Chairman, who looks after the overall investment-management and business strategy and key appointments.
Prior to joining the Company, Au was CEO of Eastspring Investments (Hong Kong) Limited, an ultimately wholly owned subsidiary of Prudential plc of the United Kingdom. Previously, he served as CEO of BOCHK Asset Management Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of BOC Hong Kong (Holdings) Limited) and held various senior management positions at other financial institutions including 11 years’ service with HSBC Global Asset Management (Hong Kong) Limited.
Currently, Au is a member of the Financial Services Development Council established by the Hong Kong SAR Government. He also sits on the Advisory Committee of the Securities and Futures Commission.  In addition, Au has served on a number of other committees.  He was the Chairman of the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute from 2006 to 2008 and the Chairman of the Hong Kong Investment Funds Association in 2004/2005. 
Au holds a CFA, and he earned Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Oxford and PhDin Theorectical Particle Physics from Durham University.
