Vontobel has appointed Clarabelle Ho as head of intermediary clients in Asia. She will be responsible for developing the firm’s distribution business by establishing and strengthening partnerships with major financial intermediaries.
Ho has more than 15 years of experience in private and retail bank wholesale fund distribution in Southeast Asia and the broader Asian region.
She joins Vontobel from BlackRock, where she was responsible for intermediary distribution as part of the Singapore-based client business team for wealth management in Asia-Pacific.
Previously, Ho was with UBS Asset Management, covering the intermediary fund distribution business in Southeast Asia.
She started her career at BNP Paribas Investment Partners, managing Southeast Asia private bank and retail fund distribution. She holds a bachelor of business management in finance, with a double major in psychology, from the Singapore Management University.
Vontobel, based in Zurich, Switzerland, has been present in Asia-Pacific since 2008, with teams in Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, and Sydney.
