Yeekei Chan has 20 years of international banking experience, proven track record
The Asset 27 May 2024

Australia’s third-largest bank ANZ has appointed Yeekei Chan as the head of its financial institutions group (FIG) for Southeast Asia, India and the Middle East (ME), reporting to Mark Harding, global FIG head.

Chan, who will continue to be based in Singapore, has 20 years of international banking experience, most recently as the bank’s head of FIG for Singapore. He started his career at the bank as part of the graduate programme in Sydney, before joining J.P. Morgan for 11 years in London.

In his new role, he will be responsible for leading the long-term strategic direction of the FIG business in the region, focusing on the coverage of banks, funds, financial sponsors, insurance, public sector and diversified financials, and looking at opportunities to strengthen the business and drive sustainable revenue.

“Chan is a highly experienced international banker with a proven track record of delivering strong profitable growth for the FIG business in Singapore,” Harding says. “FIG is a priority sector for the bank, and I’m pleased that we’re able to appoint talent from within the business to this important role.”
