The Hong Kong Financial Services Development Council (FSDC) has appointed Angel Chia as the executive director of the Hong Kong Academy for Wealth Legacy (HKAWL), effective March 1.

Chia, a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, brings in-depth professional knowledge and a proven leadership track record in the family office sector.

Prior to joining the HKAWL, she currently serves as the chair of the Family Office Association Hong Kong. She has held senior leadership positions, including chief strategy officer of a multi-family office and CEO of the overseas operations of a mainland brokerage firm. She also has a broad international exposure having worked with global financial firms in Hong Kong, Singapore, New York and Taipei.

Adrian Cheng, FSDC board member and HKAWL chairman, says: “Chia’s extensive experience and expertise in the family office sector, coupled with her passion for empowering the next generation of family principals, will undoubtedly add significant value to the HKAWL.”
