Philippine insurance giant Pru Life UK has tapped ATRAM, a Manila-based asset and wealth manager, to serve as its local fund manager, allowing clients access to a wide range of investment solutions. 

Pru Life UK is one of the first life insurance companies approved to distribute US dollar-denominated investment-linked life insurance policies in the country.

With the new partnership, the two companies will work together to co-develop and launch “more innovative and customer-centric investment solutions” which will benefit their customers.

“We are strengthening Pru Life UK's growth trajectory and investment performance that will benefit our customers. Our customers can count on Pru Life UK and ATRAM to help them grow their wealth," says Pru Life UK president and chief executive officer Eng Teng Wong. 

Under the new partnership, Pru Life UK, which largely relies on a wide agent network to distribute its products, will be able to offer customers a wider array of financial solutions. At present, Pru Life UK has the largest life insurance agency sales force in the Philippines, with over 40,000 agents licensed to sell its products.

Commenting on the partnership, ATRAM Group CEO Michael Ferrer says: “We look forward to bringing the latest investment products and technology to Pru Life UK's agents and customers, helping them achieve their dreams and aspirations.” 

Pru Life UK says it selected ATRAM as its local fund manager after a rigorous evaluation and approval process. ATRAM boasts 165 billion pesos (US$2.93 billion) in assets under management, as of end-March 2023.
