Law firm DLA Piper has appointed Barbara Voskamp as a partner in its tax practice, based in Singapore.
Voskamp, who is a registered foreign lawyer in Singapore, joins the company from Loyens & Loeff where she was a partner and head of its Singapore office, as well as Asia-Pacific co-head.
She specializes in international tax and focuses her practice on tax structuring, corporate implementation and transactional work, and has extensive experience advising financial institutions and multinational corporate clients on the structuring of their cross-border investments.
“As a leader in her field, she will significantly strengthen our Asia tax offering,” says Anderson Lam, DLA Piper’s co-head of tax for Asia. “Her practice complements the firm’s strategy to provide a full service offering to our Southeast Asia-based funds and corporate clients.”
Jacques Wantz, international group head of the firm’s tax practice, adds: “Voskamp is a highly experienced tax lawyer and her appointment further strengthens our existing position in this space.”
