ACG secures US$600 million loan to expand aircraft portfolio
Japanese-owned aircraft lessor to procure more fuel-efficient, next-generation planes
Michael Marray 4 Jan 2023

Aviation Capital Group (ACG), a US-based subsidiary of Tokyo Century Corporation, has secured a US$600 million loan from Japan Bank for International Cooperation and MUFG Bank.

The loan will be used to procure planes for ACG’s aircraft leasing business. The company has a portfolio of 476 aircraft, including those on order, as of the end of September 2022.

Tokyo Century, which completed its acquisition of ACG in December 2019, plans to continue developing its aircraft leasing business.

Aiming to secure a competitive edge in the industry, ACG is expanding the number of aircraft it owns and manages, particularly fuel-efficient, next-generation units.
