Kroll buys AVC to create dedicated energy team
Move aims to improve expertise, drive consistency, efficiency in fixed-asset valuations
The Asset 7 Dec 2022

Kroll has acquired Appraisal & Valuation Consultants (AVC), a firm that specializes in the valuation of oil, gas, petrochemical, chemical, power, mining, metals processing and offshore facilities for insurance and other purposes.

The acquisition expands Kroll’s offering in energy sector insurance valuation expertise and technology. A team of professionals will join Kroll in London, Manchester and Manila to form a dedicated energy team within the company’s fixed-asset advisory services business.

Antony Attwell, CEO and co-founder of AVC, will become a managing director and lead the new team, reporting to Rebecca Fuller, managing director and global fixed-asset advisory services leader.

“The acquisition enhances our ability to provide our energy clients with technology-enabled solutions that will drive consistency and efficiency in fixed-asset valuations, establishing a new standard of excellence in the market,” says Srividya Gopal, managing director and Asia-Pacific management chair at Kroll. “The [new] team also brings strong client relationships in complementary markets in Asia-Pacific, EMEA [Europe, the Middle East and Africa] and the Americas.”
