Fidelity International has appointed Jackson Lee as its head of Taiwan, and the chairman of FIL Securities Investment Trust Company (Taiwan), with responsibility for delivering continued growth in Taiwan.

Lee, who will start on September 1 and relocate from Beijing to Taipei, will report to Rajeev Mittal, managing director, Asia-Pacific (ex-Japan). Lee joined Fidelity in Hong Kong in 2010 before moving to Beijing in late 2011 where he has been central to the development of the company’s mainland China strategy.

Over the past decade, he has been at the forefront of many significant milestones, including becoming the first global asset manager to register with the Asset Management Association of China as a private fund management company in 2017 and submitting an application to the China Securities Regulatory Commission for a mutual fund licence in 2020.

“In his new role, Lee will lead the growth of our Taiwan business, further developing scalable solutions across our client channels,” Mittal says. “His leadership, strategic focus and passion for innovation will now benefit our team and business in Taiwan.”
