Standard Chartered bolsters client servicing team
Mark Snowdon is named head of insurance relationship management, Asia, financing and securities services

Standard Chartered has appointed Mark Snowdon as head of insurance relationship management, Asia, financing & securities services, effective immediately.

In this newly created role, Snowdon is responsible for managing and developing the banks’ financing & securities servicing insurance client franchise across Asia, incorporating all custody, fund services, agency securities lending and prime services activities. Based in Hong Kong, he reports to Simon Kellaway, regional head of financing & securities services, Greater China & North Asia, who is also based in Hong Kong.

Snowdon joined Standard Chartered from Northern Trust Corporation, where he was head of capital markets for Asia-Pacific. Prior to that, he had been head of global custody growth, EMEA, at J.P. Morgan, and head of investor services sales, Europe, at The Bank of New York.
