Maybank Kim Eng Singapore names CEO
Aditya Laroia will be responsible for securities and investment banking businesses in the city state

Maybank Kim Eng Singapore has appointed Aditya Laroia as chief executive officer, effective May 18. In his new role, Laroia will be responsible for the overall securities and investment banking businesses in Singapore and the execution of the company’s five-year plan, anchored by a sustainability-first approach to help clients leverage ESG opportunities that can generate alpha.

Laroia has over 23 years’ experience in financial markets in New York, London and Asia. He joined Maybank Kim Eng Group in May 2020 as regional head of prime brokerage and head of investment management, Singapore, where he has been instrumental in developing Prime and its expansion into new markets, such as its launch in the United States late last year.

Prior to joining Maybank Kim Eng, Laroia was Asia-Pacific head of sales at Saxo Group where he was responsible for origination, sales, relationship and account management for the region. He has also held leadership roles at Nomura and Lehman Brothers.

He holds a degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
