London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) has strengthened its presence in the Pacific region with two senior appointments to its investment solutions business, which includes index provider FTSE Russell. Martin Orro has joined as head of business development, Pacific, while Jo Saleeba has been named head of sustainable investment, Australia and New Zealand.

Orro will focus on leading the expansion of FTSE Russell’s business in the region. He joins from S&P Global Market Intelligence where he developed and successfully executed the commercial strategy for the Pacific region for the last seven years.

Prior to S&P Global, he spent almost 10 years in the Australian financial services industry, particularly in institutional banking and wealth management.

In a newly created role, Saleeba will be responsible for FTSE Russell’s sustainable investment indices, data and analytics solutions across the region. She has over two decades of experience in corporate sustainability, responsible investment and ESG.

Before joining FTSE Russell, Saleeba led the responsible investment team at HESTA, an Australian industry superannuation fund for workers in health and community service sectors, where she was responsible for developing and implementing the strategic direction of the fund’s responsible investment programme.

She was also the first chief executive of the Investor Group on Climate Change (IGCC), establishing the organization and growing its membership to over 25 investors with more than US$500 billion in assets under management.
