The Asset 2 Feb 2021

Global asset manager BNY Mellon Investment Management has named Katsutoshi Endo as it representative director, president, for Japan, succeeding Shogo Yamaguchi who will continue as director and chairman of the firm.

Endo has most recently been the head of retail sales and marketing since joining BNY Mellon Investment Management Japan in 2016. Prior to this, he spent over 12 years at AllianceBernstein Japan where he held various senior roles, including deputy head of Japan Client Group, head of institutional sales, and head of product management

“Japan is a strategically important market for us, where we have been present for more than 22 years,” says Matt Oomen, global head of distribution at BNY Mellon Investment Management. “Endo has successfully grown the retail channel since joining us in 2016, and he is a natural successor to take on the role of representative director, president.”
