Reinsurer Swiss Re has named Sunayana Mahansaria as head of client markets, life and health, India, with a focus on developing differentiated future-ready solutions for insurers to capture business opportunities.
Sunayana, who will be based in Mumbai and report to Swiss Re India market head Hadi Riachi, joins the company with more than a decade of leadership and actuarial experience across India's reinsurance and direct insurance sectors.
In her previous roles, she was responsible for developing customised solutions, ranging from client management to business development.
"Heightened awareness of the need for insurance protection and shifting consumer preferences for digitalised experience have created huge opportunities for insurers to address this rising demand in India,” Riachi says. “Sunayana will add to our bench strength in supporting insurers to capture the fast-growing market opportunities."
