Everbright Water wins China waste plant contract
Jiangsu Huai'an facility to have 60,000 m3 per day industrial water treatment capacity
The Asset 6 Jun 2023

A consortium led by China Everbright Water, an environmental protection company focusing on water environment management, has secured the contract for the design, procurement, construction and operation (EPCO) of the Huai’an Lianshui Konggang Industrial Park’s waste water treatment plant in China’s Jiangsu province.

The park, as one of the primary development platforms of the Lianshui Economic Development Zone, is marked to be developed as an integrated hub for multiple advanced manufacturing industries, such as aircraft manufacturing and services, modern logistics industries, biomedicine, new materials, electronic information and bonded logistics.

The construction of the plant, which will have a total designed industrial waste water treatment capacity of 60,000 m3/day, will ensure the efficient and safe treatment of industrial waste water within the park.

“The project marks Everbright Water’s first project of this type since the company began actively exploring new business directions and promoting the development of both asset-light and -heavy businesses,” says Hu Yanguo, the company’s executive director and chairman. “The adoption of the EPCO model will help the company to ‘go light’ and export its rich experience and strengths in operations management, further enriching its experience in the asset-light business.”
