JPMAM appoints new head of Asia Insurance Strategy
Rick Wei will be in charge of Asia ex Japan insurance strategy for the firm, representing firm's solutions to clients and regulators, and be based in Hong Kong

J.P. Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) has appointed Rick Wei as head of Asia ex Japan Insurance Strategy, based in Hong Kong. 

Wei will be responsible for representing the firm’s overall insurance solutions capability to Asian clients, regulators and industry associations. He will partner closely with client advisors and investment teams to facilitate further insurance business growth and client service. 

Wei joins the firm from BNP Paribas Asset Management, where he was previously head of Asia Insurance Strategy, responsible for designing customized insurance solutions. Prior to that, he spent four years with MetLife Investments in Hong Kong as an associate director in Asia Portfolio Management and ALM. He is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) and a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA).

JPMAM’s global insurance solutions team manages more than US$144 billion in general account assets under management globally.
