Pictet Asset Management appoints new CEO for Asia ex-Japan
Junjie Watkins will be based in Hong Kong and has over 15 years of financial services experience in investment and distribution

Pictet Asset Management (Pictet AM) has appointed Junjie Watkins as chief executive officer for Asia ex Japan, effective July 2.

Based in Hong Kong, Watkins will assume responsibility for all business development and client-related matters in the region, with management oversight of all other activities.

With over 15 years of financial services experience both in investment and distribution, Watkins has developed relationships with key institutional and intermediaries clients throughout the region.

She joins Pictet AM from TCW Asia Ltd, where she was head of investment solutions, Asia. Before TCW, Junjie was head of investment solutions for Greater China at Neuberger Berman Asia. She began her financial career in London in 2004, initially at Deutsche Bank, then Lehman Brothers in 2006, first in fixed income and derivatives, and in 2008 in a hedge fund research analyst role.

Watkins takes over from Amy Cho, who left the firm last November.
