Wendy Liu has joined UBS Research as a managing director and head of China strategy. Liu transferred from Nomura, where she was head of China equity research, and Greater China equity strategist for the last six years. This followed five years at ABN Amro, where she held a similar role. Prior to her time as a strategist, Liu was a telecoms analyst in New York and Hong Kong with Merrill Lynch.

Liu will lead the company's strategy effort on China, working closely with Ting Gao and the rest of the regional strategy team. Erin Zhang and Pulan Li will join the China strategy team in the coming weeks. Zhang will be based in Shanghai, while Li will support Liu in Hong Kong.
