The Carlyle Group appoints managing director
Thirteen-year PE veteran to lead growth investments in China

GLOBAL alternative asset manager The Carlyle Group has appointed Wanlin Liu to the Carlyle Asia private equity team as a managing director. She will lead the team’s growth investments in China and will be based in Shanghai.

Prior to joining Carlyle, Liu was a managing director of the Principal Investment Area (PIA) of Goldman Sachs in Asia. With 13 years of experience in private equity, she has led key aspects of a number of successful deals, including Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals, Best Inc. and Daesung Industrial Gases.
