Citi revamps organizational structure

Citi has announced a new organizational structure and two new roles to in a bid to harmonise its operating model globally.

Anand Selva is to be the head of US consumer banking. Currently head of consumer banking in Asia Pacific, Selva is a twenty-six year Citi veteran, with an unmatched depth and breadth of expertise in retail, wealth and cards. This action aligns the US franchise with the regional model deployed in Asia and Mexico, where Citi claims to have seen the benefits of cross-product synergies, greater collaboration and accelerated speed to market and decision-making.

As head of US consumer banking, Selva will be charged with delivering a single, seamless client experience across Retail Banking and Branded Cards. The US Consumer Banking team, reporting to Selva, will include heads of Branded Cards, Retail Banking & Mortgage, National Digital Banking, Digital Client Experience and Operational Risk & Controls. Selva and his family will relocate to the U.S.

David Chubak is to be the head of retail banking and consumer lending. This new role unifies the product and segment teams across retail banking and branded cards into a single unit responsible for driving speed, synergy and scale across our global network. Regional product heads for retail banking and branded cards will also report to Chubak.

A relentless advocate of driving client-led value propositions and partnerships across retail banking and cards, Chubak will bring his expertise and trademark passion to designing the global relationship banking model of the future.

Going forward, Shrikant Dash, head of analytics & information management, and Jennifer Breithaupt, GCB chief marketing officer, will report to Stephen Bird, chief executive officer of global consumer banking.
