Moody's Investors Service appoints regional head for Asia-Pacific
Wendy Cheong will manage regional operations such as coordination with regional affiliates and the implementation of strategies across APAC

Moody's Investors Service (MIS) has appointed Wendy Cheong as managing director -- regional head of its Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. Based in Hong Kong, Cheong will lead the Moody's Investors Service business across the region, with responsibility for business strategy and execution to support Moody's continued growth.

Cheong will manage regional operations, including coordination with Moody's affiliates and joint ventures in the region, and the development and implementation of MIS developed and emerging market strategies across APAC. In addition, Cheong will progress various MIS and Moody's Corporation global initiatives within the region. She will report to Min Ye, managing director -- head of MIS international operations.

"Wendy brings a wealth of skill and knowledge to this role, including a thorough understanding of Asia Pacific capital markets that will help us to better serve market participants throughout the region and around the world," says Ye.

Cheong joined Moody's in 2010, most recently serving as chief of staff to the MIS President, where she successfully led a range of strategic initiatives for the rating agency. Previously, Cheong served as representative director for Moody's Hong Kong, and as head of Asia Pacific Strategy and Business Management.

Cheong founded the Moody's Women's Employee Resource Group in Asia and serves on Moody's Global D&I Council. She served as an executive member of 100 Women in Finance - Philanthropy Committee, as well as a member of Women in Finance Asia.
