Citi hires for ETF client growth in Asia Pacific
The Asset 6 Sep 2018

Citi’s ambition is to be the sell-side platform of choice for ETFs and the bank has made a couple of hires in Asia Pacific to support this goal.

Antoine de Saint Vaulry joins Citi as APAC head of Delta One ETF Trading, based in Hong Kong. In this role Saint Vauley will report to Sebastien Mailleux, head of Prime Finance & Delta One for APAC, and will focus on the growth of Citi’s ETF client trading capabilities in the region. Saint Vaulry brings a wealth of expertise to the role and previously worked at Commerzbank for 14 years where he was most recently head of ETF and Flow Trading for Asia.

Pierre Thiriet also joined the bank’s Delta One team in APAC. Thiriet will report to Saint Vaulry and will focus on pricing, trading and risk management relating to the regional Delta One trading capabilities. Thiriet has 10 years of experience in the index and statistical trading space and joins Citi from the ETF market marking team at Commerzbank.

“These hires highlight our continued focus and investment in talent to further enhance our ability to deliver a comprehensive value proposition to ETF Issuers and Investor clients alike,” says Mailleux.

Citi’s business model enables the bank to support all aspects of the ETF lifecycle from index creation, dedicated research and content, sales, trading, market-making as well fund services.
