TH Real Estate appoints innovation and technology strategist
Proptech start-ups, big data and artificial intelligence in the spotlight
The Asset 29 Jun 2018

TH Real Estate, an affiliate of Nuveen, has appointed Jack Sibley as innovation and technology strategist. This is a new role focusing on leveraging innovation and technology in a drive to boost client service and investment performance. Sibley will lead the push in driving technological innovation across TH Real Estate's global platform, in line with the company's "Tomorrow's World" investment approach. His focus will include analysis and solutions for how technology is changing what end-users want from real estate, active engagement with proptech start-ups and disruptors, and efforts to leverage emerging technologies like big data and artificial intelligence. These initiatives will be integrated into TH Real Estate's investment process, driving decisions relating to asset selection, optimum asset management and portfolio resilience.

Sibley joined TH Real Estate in 2016 as an analyst in the research and development team. "This new role will help to develop TH Real Estate's strategic positioning in light of real estate innovation and prevailing technological trends," says Mike Sales, CEO of TH Real Estate. "Sibley's dedicated mandate and thorough understanding of this area will continue to enhance our investment approach. "Our priority is to deliver outperformance for our clients by future-proofing today's investments and identifying the optimum strategies. By embracing technological innovation and taking a lead we can harness big trends and insights that will impact the future use and demand for global real estate."

Sibley will work alongside TH Real Estate's investment, research, product and operational teams to ensure the approach is embedded and leveraged across the global platform. "We believe that real estate is going through a structural shift and ensuring that the big trends are reflected in our bottom up investment behaviour will be crucial to being an innovative and impactful investor," adds Sibley.
