SocGen appoints Thomas Decouvelaere as head of financial engineering, global markets for Asia-Pacific
The Asset 7 May 2018

SOCIETE Generale Corporate & Investment Banking (SG CIB) has appointed Thomas Decouvelaere as head of financial engineering, global markets for Asia-Pacific, effective July 1 2018 (subject to regulatory approval). Decouvelaere will succeed Jerome Niddam who has been recently promoted to head of global markets for Asia-Pacific.

Based in Hong Kong, Decouvelaere will report locally to Jerome, and functionally to Marc Saffon, head of financial engineering, global markets.

With more than 15 years of industry experience across asset classes with a focus on fixed income financial engineering in Europe, Decouvelaere will bring valuable knowledge and expertise in product innovation and manufacturing to SG CIB’s engineering team in the region, according to SG CIB. This will further strengthen the bank’s ability to meet the clients’ growing needs for bespoke investment solutions.

In his new role, he will also seize new opportunities within the bank’s institutional and corporate client segments and continue to solidify the bank’s leadership on the distribution side across the product spectrum it offers.
