Stanchart appoints head, Global Banking, Greater China and North Asia

Standard Chartered Bank has appointed Andrew Au as regional head, Global Banking, Greater China and North Asia. Based in Hong Kong and reporting to Paul Skelton, global head, Global Banking, Au will be responsible for the Global Banking business across Greater China and North Asia. His appointment is effective January 29.
Au was most recently from Citi where he was CEO for the China business, based in Shanghai. He is a native of Hong Kong and a banking veteran with more than 30 years’ experience in the industry, spanning coverage, product, risk as well as country and regional management. Prior to his role as CEO, China, Au was the regional head of Commercial Banking for Asia-Pacific.
“Andrew will be leading one of our most important regions in the context of our Corporate and Institutional Banking strategy. He brings with him extensive geographic and leadership experience and I am delighted that he has agreed to join the team,” Skelton says.
