Citi appoints corporate banking head for India subcontinent
Citi on September 8 announced the appointment of K Balasubramanian as head of corporate banking for Indian subcontinent, which comprises India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, effective December 1 2017.

Citi on September 8 announced the appointment of K Balasubramanian as head of corporate banking for Indian subcontinent, which comprises India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, effective December 1 2017.
Balasubramanian, who started his career as a management associate at Citi in 1996, is a seasoned Citi veteran of 20 years. He is a commerce graduate from Calcutta and holds a chartered accountant and ICWA degree. He was head of India local corporate bank for Citi, prior to joining HDFC Bank as head of corporate banking in May 2016.
In his new role, Balasubramanian’s focus will be to continue the strong growth momentum in corporate banking across the Indian subcontinent, while driving new initiatives around structured trade, commodities, payments and small finance banks for Citi.

Citi India’s corporate banking provides financial services to local Indian corporates, public sector and government institutions, financial institutions and multinationals operating in India.
