Standard Chartered has appointed Kevin Burke as global head, financial markets sales. Burke will be based in Singapore and report to Roberto Hoornweg, global head, financial markets. His appointment is effective July 10 2017.

Burke has more than 26 years’ experience in client coverage and multi-asset sales. He was most recently head of institutional client group, debt, Asia-Pacific at Deutsche Bank, based in Singapore. Prior to that, he has held regional and global sales management roles across different client and product segments at Barclays and Credit Suisse First Boston, based in Singapore, Hong Kong and London.

During the earlier part of his career, Burke led fixed income, emerging market and credit sales for firms including Hambros Bank, BZW and Merrill Lynch.
