Citibank has announced several senior appointments.

Mark Shafir has been appointed as technology, media, and telecom co-head of global M&A.

Herb Yeh and Jan Metzger have been appointed technology, media and telecom co-heads of global investment banking technology. Yeh will be based out of the San Francisco office.

Media and Telecom are being combined into a Communications Group, which will be led by Gordon Kroft, Dan Richards, and Wilhelm Schultz. Schultz will become chairman of EMEA M&A. Kroft, Richards, and Schultz will report to Raymond McGuire, global head of corporate and investment banking.

Brad Coleman has been appointed chairman of Global Asset Managers Group (GAM). Christian Anderson and Anthony Diamandakis will co-head GAM, reporting to McGuire.

Christian Mohr will become vice chairman of M&A.

All appointments are effective as of February 1.
