BNP Paribas has appointed Carl Davey as head of prime brokerage sales APAC.

Davey will be responsible for managing the sales and client solutions teams across APAC as BNP Paribas develops further the prime brokerage and execution & financing business.

Based in Hong Kong, Davey will report to Benjamin Dufour, head of prime solutions and financing, Valery Bloud, head of equities & credit flow distribution/head of institutional clients, and Matthew Clark, global head of prime brokerage sales.

Davey joins us from Citigroup, where he led the Asia hedge fund sales team covering prime finance, futures and custody products amongst others. He brings considerable expertise in prime brokerage and financing having spent over 20 years working with hedge fund clients.

Davey holds a bachelor’s degree in management from the University of Waikato in New Zealand, with double majors in accounting & finance and marketing & international management.

Christine Inge, Qiufeng Duan and James Piachaud will directly report to Carl with immediate effect.
