JUPITER Asset Management has appointed Talib Sheikh as head of strategy, multi-asset. He joins the business in June and will report directly to chief investment officer, Stephen Pearson.
Sheikh joins from JP Morgan Asset Management where as a managing director and portfolio manager he has worked nearly 20 years. He joined their multi-asset solutions team at its inception in 2004. Sheikh has a strong performance track record over this time managing a number of products including multi-asset income, target return and flexible balanced funds.
Due to demand from clients across Europe and Asia, the strategies managed by Sheikh and the team have experienced significant AUM growth over the past five years. This includes a Global Income strategy with an AUM of €24.5 billion (US$30.2 billion) and a top decile macro opportunities strategy plus diversified institutional accounts.
Sheikh will be working closely with an established team of highly experienced professionals in the asset class including fund managers Lee Manzi and Rhys Petheram. He will also draw on the expertise of the full breadth of Jupiter’s 74 strong active fund management team.
