RBC I&TS appoints head of global client coverage, Australia
Industry veteran joins RBC Investor & Treasury Services as the specialist provider targets future growth in Australia

RBC Investor & Treasury Services (I&TS), a part of Royal Bank of Canada, has appointed David Brown as managing director, head of global client coverage (GCC) Australia.

Brown joins RBC I&TS with over 29 years’ experience in financial services, predominantly in custody and asset management. The majority of this time was spent at J.P. Morgan where he was most recently executive director, sales and relationship management, Australia. Brown joined J.P. Morgan in 1997 and has held senior client-facing roles in Australia and Japan.

Reporting to David Travers, managing director, head of I&TS Australia, Brown will be responsible for leading all sales and client coverage activities in the region, and developing the business to gain further momentum with existing and new clients.

Commenting on the appointment, Travers says: “As we look to grow market share in the region, David’s proven track record for developing businesses, coupled with his deep industry experience will significantly bolster our competitive position. Over the last year, we have been heavily focused on investing in technology, and our people, to ensure we offer clients an exceptional partnership that evolves as their needs’ change.”
