Lombard Odier appoints head of family services, Asia

Lee Wong to develop Lombard Odier’s existing wealth planning and family services proposition

LOMBARD Odier, global wealth and asset manager for private and institutional clients, is pleased to announce the appointment of Lee Wong as head of family services, Asia. Based in Singapore, Wong reports to Vincent Magnenat, CEO of Asia at Lombard Odier.

In her new role, Wong will continue to develop Lombard Odier’s existing wealth planning and family services proposition, which is a key component of the firm’s growth strategy in the region. She will work closely with clients to fulfil their needs as they seek to preserve and protect their wealth over generations.

Wong joins Lombard Odier with over 18 years of experience in the wealth management industry. She joined from Union Bancaire Privée in Singapore, where she was head of wealth planning for South Asia and was responsible for leading a team advising high net worth clients regarding their family wealth transition needs, as well as philanthropic aspirations.

Vincent Magnenat, chief executive officer, Asia-Pacific comments, “We are delighted to welcome Lee Wong to the Lombard Odier team in Asia. Together we will continue to offer unique solutions to clients as they start to think about, or re-shape, their approach to wealth planning against a backdrop of changing, and at times challenging, circumstances.”

Following a successful mandate as deputy head of private banking Asia and head of wealth planning Asia, Seema Bhayat has moved to take up a new role as the local managing director of Lombard Odier in Tokyo, effective from September 2017. In this role Seema will lead the continuing expansion of Lombard Odier’s private banking business in Japan amid the trend of Japanese individuals increasingly seeking advice to protect and grow their assets.
