BNY Mellon appoints APAC head of consultant relationships
BNY Mellon Investment Management has appointed Deborah Bannon as Asia-Pacific head of consultant relationships and head of client services.

BNY Mellon Investment Management has appointed Deborah Bannon as Asia-Pacific head of consultant relationships and head of client services.

Based in Hong Kong, Bannon will report to Lindsay Wright, head of distribution and co-head of BNY Mellon Investment Management, Asia-Pacific.

In this newly created role, Bannon will be responsible for leading, managing and building BNY Mellon Investment Management’s relationships with global consulting firms including consultants dedicated to Asia-Pacific markets such as Japan, Australia, Greater China and Korea.

Bannon brings over 25 years’ industry experience working for asset consulting and asset management firms. Deborah spent over five years as executive director and investments business leader for Mercer Investments (HK) Limited, where she was responsible for leading its investment team and activity across North Asia ex Japan.

Prior to this, Bannon spent eight years at Pioneer Global Investments Hong Kong, as head of institutional business, Asia and six years at Royal & Sun Alliance, now Friends Provident International, where she was responsible for third-party distribution across Asia.
