The overall market downturn in 2022 has pushed players in the asset servicing industry to be more creative, flexible, and resilient in meeting their clients’ new and urgent needs.

Faced with an unprecedented scenario, some industry practitioners may have been caught ill-prepared while others grabbed the opportunity to demonstrate the quality of their services.

During our annual asset servicing survey, Asset Servicing Insights, we at The Asset invited asset servicing clients including asset owners, asset managers, financial intermediaries, and issuers, to nominate up to three individuals in the asset servicing industry whose quality of service and level of performance impressed them the most.

All verified nominations are weighted and ranked accordingly. Each individual is categorized under asset and fund services or issuer services, according to their areas of expertise.

The ranking of the Best Individuals in Asset Servicing for 2023 is based on the results of Asset Servicing Insights 2023, which garnered tremendous responses from more than 300 participants. These respondents, well-versed in the asset management industry, collectively nominated around 100 professionals in the asset servicing business who have demonstrated exceptional expertise and outstanding quality of services during the awards period.

The Asset has been actively covering the best practices in the asset servicing industry. Since 2015, Asset Benchmark Research has been conducting this annual survey to assess the asset servicing market landscape and its implications for custodian banks, fund administrators, trustees, and other asset service providers. The survey also forms an integral part of the evaluation process of The Asset Triple A Sustainable Investing Awards for Institutional Investors, ETFs, and Asset Servicing Providers.

Asset Benchmark Research has spent over three months of data collection and evaluation before arriving at the final results and decisions. The team examined various factors to determine the top individuals in the industry, considering not only the overall service quality of the banks involved but also the level of satisfaction of their clients with the services provided. Furthermore, the opinions and feedback of clients played a pivotal role in determining the most deserving individuals in the asset servicing industry.

The final outcome consists of 23 exceptional professionals who have excelled in the asset servicing industry across Asia, covering 10 markets.

It is in this context that we announce the Best Individuals in Asset Servicing for 2023.
