The CFA Institute, the global association of investment professionals, has appointed Steven Hendry as its chief financial officer, a role in which he will lead a global team in overseeing the finance operations of the organization and report to Margaret Franklin, the CFA Institute’s CEO.
Hendry, who previously served as interim CFO and before that as the institute’s global controller, has more than 20 years of financial and leadership experience. He held roles at Deutsche Bank, Dresdner Bank and Perpetual, where he led regional and global teams across Europe, Asia-Pacific and the United States.
His career covers financial control, reporting and analysis, finance transformation, strategic financial planning, strategic change programmes to improve efficiencies and transparency, and oversight of audit and regulatory initiatives.
“Steven’s experience has been invaluable from the outset,” Franklin says. “He joined the organization at a time of turmoil in the world, and we are grateful for his stewardship of our finances and his continued leadership now as CFO.”
