Monroe Capital expands in Asia with new office in Seoul
Alex Kim appointed managing director and head of Asia

Monroe Capital, a boutique asset management firm headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, has moved to expand its business in Asia with the opening of an office in Seoul ad the appointment of Alex Kim as managing director and head of Asia.

Prior to Monroe, Kim was chief executive officer and managing director of Korea and head of Southeast Asia institutions at Aberdeen Standard Investments.

Kim has over 20 years of experience in asset management and banking, with 15 years spent in Asia-Pacific. Prior to Aberdeen Standard Investments, he held roles at Russell Investments, the Royal Bank of Scotland and Pacific Investment Management Co. He earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine.
