Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX) has appointed Anthony Crampton as managing director, head of management reporting and facilities management, to work across the exchange to help oversee the group’s management reporting best practice.

He will also help to ensure the functionality, comfort, safety and efficiency of the company’s offices and facilities by aligning the people, processes and technology within the firm’s real-estate portfolio, and will report to group chief financial officer Vanessa Lau.

Crampton joins HKEX from the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC), where over the last three years, he has served as its director of corporate finance, responsible for building robust financial management processes and capabilities and for providing strategic and operational financial information, insight and recommendations. Before this, he served as the head of audit at HKJC, leading the audit and risk management teams.

“Crampton has more than 25 years’ experience in finance and accounting, where he has held a number of senior finance and audit positions in London, Hong Kong and Sydney,” Lau says. “His expertise will be invaluable to us as we further strengthen our capabilities as the global markets leader in the Asian time zone.”
