BNY Mellon has appointed Winnie Chen as head of treasury services for Asia-Pacific with immediate effect. She will lead the strategy, execution and governance of the bank’s treasury services business in the region. She will have direct oversight of the relationship management and business development functions in Asia-Pacific, with responsibility for all treasury services functions including product and client services.
Based in Singapore, Chen will report directly to Eric Boughner, global head of treasury services relationship management and business development, and will also have a regional reporting line into Fangfang Chen, Asia-Pacific chair and regional head of asset servicing and digital.
In her new role, she will also partner with senior leaders in the treasury services business and throughout Asia-Pacific to ensure functional strategies deliver business objectives. She is also a member of BNY Mellon's treasury services leadership team and represents treasury services on BNY Mellon’s Asia-Pacific Leadership Council.
Chen has broad experience in global transaction banking, holding senior sales roles at leading institutions including J.P. Morgan, Bank of America and ANZ. Most recently, she was at United Overseas Bank, where she was group head for financial institutions sales, group transaction banking, for almost five years. Prior to that, she was head of financial institutions sales, North Asia, for ANZ in Hong Kong.
