SMBC Aviation Capital has recently delivered two Airbus A320-251NX narrowbody aircraft to Aeroflot. The delivery is part of the direct order transaction between the company and the Russian carrier, which comprises of three A320neo (new engine option) and two A321neo aircraft. The remaining three aircraft are scheduled for delivery in the coming weeks.

SMBC has also recently delivered Airbus A320neos to another Russian customer, S7, completing an order from the carrier for a total of eight aircraft.

SMBC Aviation Capital shareholders are affiliates of the Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group (SMFG) and the trading house Sumitomo Corporation. The lessor currently owns a fleet of over 700 aircraft.
