Equinix has added four network service providers (NSPs) in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan to enhance connectivity into Greater China. The company, which provides internet connection and data centres, says its platform allows multinational enterprises to simplify their expansion into the dynamic market by seamlessly interconnecting to a rich ecosystem of clouds, networks, partners and customers.
The connectivity is provided through its International Business Exchange (IBX) data centres in Hong Kong. Customers can use Equinix Fabric to gain access to network services like multiprotocol label switching (MPLS), ethernet and internet access from multiple NSPs in Greater China. These NSPs include China Mobile International, China Telecom Global, Chief Telecom and HKBN.
Leveraging dedicated cross-border bandwidth and point of presence (PoP) in the Equinix IBX campus in Hong Kong, businesses can securely and easily access the market, according to the company.
Larry Tam, managing director of Equinix Hong Kong, says: “As a strategic hub in Asia-Pacific, Hong Kong is a critical gateway for businesses looking to expand into the Greater China market. With extended Greater China connectivity, we are thrilled to help businesses expand into one of the most dynamic markets in the world through Hong Kong.”
