Vontobel Asset Management has named Goji Yoshino to head the firm's newly opened office in Japan, where he will be responsible for managing relationships with financial institutions, developing new distribution partnerships and leveraging the capabilities of the asset manager’s multi-boutique approach.
Yoshino, a seasoned institutional sales professional with more than 25 years of experience in asset management, joins Vontobel from BlueBay Asset Management, where he was head of institutional sales, responsible for covering financial institutions, public and corporate pension funds, and consultants. Prior to that, he was responsible for institutional sales and client service at Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
“Goji’s experience and client-oriented mindset are crucial in expanding our product offerings to meet investor demand for actively managed investment solutions,” says Ulrich Behm, CEO, Vontobel Asset Management, Asia-Pacific.
The opening of the Tokyo office follows the firm's recent branch opening in Singapore and a series of key hires in Singapore and Hong Kong.
