HSBC has appointed Mark Troutman to lead the new Payments and Cash Management (PCM) Corporate Sales team, established to enhance the bank's offering for customers with operations in multiple countries and territories.

Troutman will be responsible for PCM’s corporate sales strategy supporting HSBC's Global Banking and Markets and Commercial Banking businesses.

As part of HSBC’s Global Banking Corporate Sales strategy, Troutman will lead PCM's newly created, sector focused, sales teams, who are responsible for the strategic direction of sales for Global Banking clients. This includes HSBC's Consumer Brands, Retail and Healthcare (CBRH) team, where Hans van den Bosch recently joined HSBC from his role as director of Global Treasury Operations at Unilever. In this role van den Bosch had global responsibility for all of the organisation’s transaction banking, FX and Liquidity Management activities.

In Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT), Matt Carrere joined HSBC earlier this year from Citibank, where he was director of Global Client Sales Management for TMT. Prior to Citibank Matt was at JPMorgan where he led the client management and sales effort for the technology sector.

Troutman will also lead the PCM sales strategy for Commercial Banking, developing PCM corporate sales activity across the Large Corporate, Mid-Market and Business Banking segments.

Troutman has 25 years’ experience in working capital and transaction banking advisory services. He moves from his current role as Head of PCM Sales for Asia Pacific, where he was instrumental in growing the Payments and Cash Management business in the region. Before joining HSBC, Mark held senior roles with JPMorgan and Bank of America in Asia and the USA. In his new role Mark will be based in London.

Diane S. Reyes, Group General Manager and Global Head of PCM said, “The creation of the PCM Corporate Sales team, and the new sales structure allows us to bring clients deep expertise in payments and cash management enhanced by our understanding of the issues they face in their sectors everyday.

“For the last three years Mark has successfully led the PCM sales team in Asia and I’m delighted to announce his promotion to the newly created global role.”
