Commerzbank is first foreign market maker for ETFs in Thailand
ommerzbank commenced being the official market maker for four exchange traded funds (ETFs) listed on the main board of the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) on December 15, becoming the first foreign market maker and participant dealer for local ETFs in Thailand.

Commerzbank commenced being the official market maker for four exchange traded funds (ETFs) listed on the main board of the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) on December 15, becoming the first foreign market maker and participant dealer for local ETFs in Thailand.

 
 
The four ETFs, issued by Maybank Asset Management (Thailand) Company Limited are: Maybank US ETF (MUS); Maybank Euro ETF (MEU); Maybank Japan ETF (MJP); and Maybank Emerging ETF (MEM).
 
Theses ETFs are also the first four US listed ETFs in this (Thai) market that enable Thai investors to track key global indices.
 
 
Commenting on the development, Thorsten Heidt, Asia Head of Equity Markets & Commodities at Commerzbank, said, “We are delighted Maybank has chosen Commerzbank to be the official market maker for its first four US-listed ETFs on The Stock Exchange of Thailand. Our role as a committed market maker is to bring liquidity to the market, providing on-screen and risk pricing for Asian and European clients trading OTC and listed ETFs during the Asian time zone. We look forward to continuing our strong relationship with Maybank amid the rapid growth of Asia’s ETF market.”
 
Commerzbank is the dedicated market maker for third party ETFs bringing liquidity to OTC and listed markets. In Asia, Commerzbank currently market makes over 80 ETFs listed on HKEx, an increasing number of ETFs listed on SGX, and most recently became the official market maker for the first four US-listed ETFs on The Stock Exchange of Thailand
